Family Force 5 has arrived.

A phoenix rising from the ashes of the Dirty South, Family Force 5 creates a lethal mix of punk, rock, funk and mind-altering grooves that’s guaranteed ghetto music straight from the heart cut with a healthy dose of fried grits.  Formed 2 years ago in Atlanta , Family Force 5 redefine Rock from the South, combining OutKast with Rage Against the Machine and beastie Boys with the White Stripes.  Imagine Rick James fronting the MC5 or Ronnie Van Zant as lead singer for the Gap Band. No other band mixes new wave guitars with the nasty groove that can only come after a lifetime diet of fried chicken and collard greens.

Family Force 5 features 3 blood brothers who have chosen to build their “Crunk Rock” with two friends. Solomon Olds (a/k/a Soul Glow Activator) plays guitar, sings and generally leads the charge while breakdancing. Jacob Olds (a/k/a Crouton) plays drums and shares the vocals. Joshua Olds (a/k/a Phatty) plays bass, sings and doubles as Jacob’s twin brother.  Nathan Currin (a/k/a Nadaddy) mans the decks and plays the keys. Brad Allen (a/k/a 20 Cent) plays guitar and often hangs from the ceiling. Family

Like most brothers,…

Remedy Drive members David, Paul, Philip and Daniel Zach had their fair share of squabbles growing up. And with no television at home to distract them, the boys had few other outlets for their energies. Fortunately, they found common ground in their love of music. In fact, the first time they heard a guitar solo, they say it “made them feel alive.” And for four brothers who listened to a steady diet of Keith Green, it was a revelation that ended up having a profound effect on their future.

Unlike most kids, David (vocals, keys, guitar), Paul (vocals, guitars), Philip (vocals, bass), and Daniel (drums) say they are thankful they did not waste countless hours in front of the tube. “We would just come home from school and play music instead,” Paul recalls. “Music was fun, and it definitely gave us a creative outlet. And now, its given us a forum to ask lifes biggest questions.”

Before recently signing with Word Records, the Lincoln, Nebraska, natives humble beginnings evolved into an enviable Midwest and West Coast following, and Remedy Drive was playing more than 200 shows a year. Driven by an innate desire to engage audiences with a dynamic rock show that combines the raw energy of scrappy Indie rock with the colorful artistic panache of the Blue Man Group, the guys happily played wherever they were asked: summer festivals, colleges, camps, conferences and churches.

“We offer people a no-expenses-spared rock show,” Philip elaborates. “Our goal is for our audience to really enjoy themselves. Plus, they get the added benefit of hearing songs that rally against everything we are being fed in popular culture.”

In the industry of cool known as rock ’ n’ roll,…

it’s a particularly rare feat when substance actually triumphs over swagger. Even more surprising is when a band blatantly wears its heart on its sleeve, rather than simply championing lyrical ambiguity set to a catchy beat.

But in the musical world of GRAMMY-nominated Sanctus Real, substance and style have peacefully co-existed over the course of five albums that have garnered seven No. 1 radio singles (and six more that landed in the Top 5). Not afraid to experiment with new textures or leave things stripped-down and simple if the song calls for it, the Dove Award-winning act that features Matt Hammitt (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Rohman (lead guitar), Mark Graalman (drums), Dan Gartley (bass) and Pete Prevost (guitar) also hasn’t shied away from tackling life’s tough questions. Offering glimpses of the guys’ own joys and heartbreaking struggles, that refreshing level of candor—and unflinching commitment to honesty—has endeared the band to fans around the globe.

And now with the March 9 release of Pieces of a Real Heart, Sanctus Real has continued to push themselves both artistically and thematically. Fueled by the real-life experiences culled from a life often spent traveling from city to city, not to mention the maturing that inevitably results when raising families, the album is confessional, thoughtful and really anything but surface-level.

GRAMMY-nominated progressive rock act…

Leeland has been known to deliver songwriting beyond its years and worshipful rock so genuine it disarms the honest cynic. Often quoted as one of Christian music’s most gripping live bands, the 2006 debut Sound of Melodies and 2008’s Opposite Way quickly established Leeland as a leader in the worship community and beyond. While both previous albums were GRAMMY nominated and drew a combined eight Dove nominations, Leeland’s measure of success has always been the human heart. And now Leeland’s third album, Love Is On The Move is a landmark in the deepest sense.

“During the past year, God has caused a total shift in our thinking and the way we approach our ministry,” says Leeland keyboardist Jack Mooring. His brother, the band’s principal songwriter, lead singer and guitarist, Leeland Mooring begins to explain, “For awhile, we were just this band from Baytown, Texas, and all we saw was our little church where God had been doing awesome and incredible things. But He’s really been opening our vision to all the hurting people, especially the poor, around the world and making it clear we should help by being a part of spreading His kingdom.” Leeland goes on to quote from 1 John 3:18, “Let us not love with words or tongue but with actions… [NIV],” and he profoundly states: “If we’re not loving people, then we’re just making a bunch of noise.” That’s quite a statement coming from a leader who’s influencing a new generation of worshipers. And that’s precisely the point. “We don’t want to sing another song if we’re not taking care of the poor. If we’re not being the hands and feet of Jesus, we might as well just stop making records and go home,” says Jack.

This very idea is the heart behind Leeland’s new project. With passion and conviction Leeland has transformed its sound into a call to action; asking followers of Christ to be the hands and feet of God.

“Worship, justice and action are not separate,” explains 21-year-old Leeland. “They are united. They work together. When you have an amazing encounter with God and you experience His love during worship, the fruit of that should be your life overflowing with action and love – justice – to the world around you. … That’s why Jesus said [in Matthew 25] on the Day of Judgment people will say, ‘God, when did I ever see you naked, or hungry, or thirsty or in jail?’ And He’ll say, ‘Whatever you did for the least of these, you did for me,” and to others God will say, “Whatever you did not do for the least of these, you did not do for Me.’”

The desire to escape mediocrity…

and embrace the very best that life has to offer suddenly hits you.  It comes like a wonderfully dramatic epiphany.  It is clear the time has come and a decision must be made.  You know the status quo simply will not do.  It is this powerful transformation that lies at the core of The Afters’ sophomore release Never Going Back To OK (INO/Columbia Records).

The Texas-based band was propelled into the national spotlight with their INO/Sony Music Label Group debut I Wish We All Could Win. The project spawned the swirling, melodic hit “Beautiful Love,” earning the band an enthusiastic following when the song was selected as the theme track for MTV’s “8th and Ocean”.  “Beautiful Love” was also the most downloaded track of 2006 on the iTunes Inspirational charts.

“On the last record there was a common thread of hope that came out in all the songs,” vocalist/guitarist Brad Wigg.  Never Going Back To OK seems to reflect transformation.  I think a lot of the songs are talking about moving forward, of becoming who we are meant to be.”

“It’s been an eventful three years, that’s for sure,” says drummer Marc Dodd of the musical odyssey that has become the band’s busy life. They’ve poured their life experiences into the new music and Dodd is excited about sharing the songs on Never Going Back To OK “The title track encourages people not to just go through the motions, but to try to make an impact on the world and help someone change their perspective on how life can really be.”

HisNameHigh is…

a group of young men dedicated to serving God as a praise and worship band.  Under the covering of our home church, we desire to encourage a spirit of revival, starting in our city, our country, then around the world.  We are passionate to create a different worship experience in which the presence of God is the focus and His anointing to change lives is paramount.  We want to engage the body of Christ in a life-changing, deeper worship of and passion for Jesus Christ – not merely having a momentary religious experience.

Composing and promoting original, cutting edge, anointed praise and worship music as well as ministering the Word of God to our audiences describes the passion of our hearts.  We see our primary mission as awakening the sleeping giant …that is to empower un-energized youth whom are already in the church to become so passionate to the degree that they go out and literally change their world for Jesus and lift His name high!

Theme Bible Verse

Phil 2: 9-10 – “Therefore, because Jesus stooped so low, God has HIGHLY exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, that in and at the name of Jesus every knee should and must bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
